Tvrtka Velmart d.o.o. osnovana je u Varaždinu početkom 1991. godine. Osnovna djelatnost tvrtke bila je trgovina na veliko sirovom kožom. Od samih početaka cilj nam je bio razvijati dobre, dugoročne poslovne odnose s hrvatskim klaonicama te prerađivačima mesa i mesnih proizvoda, od kojih i danas otkupljujemo sirovu kožu (pretežno juneću, teleću, goveđu).

Sredinom 1998. godine tvrtka se seli u vlastite prostore u Cehovskoj ulici 11 u Varaždinu, gdje se i danas nalazi uprava i skladište tvrtke.

Krajem 2005. godine tvrtka je na postojećoj lokaciji proširila skladište sirove kože i izgradila nove upravne prostorije.

Trenutno smo pretežno orijentirani na otkup, konzerviranje i skladištenje sirovo-slane goveđe kože, kože goveđih glava, a u manjoj mjeri ovčje i janjeće kože.
